Sea Candi Marine 1-Year Limited Warranty & Terms of Service
By purchasing, installing, or using any Sea Candi Marine product, you explicitly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms, conditions, and limitations of liability outlined in this policy.
Every single Sea Candi Pro-Series switch is 100% bench-tested for functionality and seal integrity before it ever leaves our Florida facility. We don't ship dead parts. But we also know that in the marine world, sometimes things just happen. If a switch genuinely fails under normal conditions within the first year, we stand behind it.
What is Covered: Sea Candi Marine offers a 1-Year Limited Warranty from the date of original purchase against manufacturing defects and premature failure under normal marine use. If a switch fails internally or the LED stops functioning due to a manufacturer defect, we will replace the unit.
What is NOT Covered: This warranty covers our manufacturing, not installation errors or intentional abuse. To protect our business and keep prices fair for everyone, this warranty does not cover:
-
Overloading & Electrical Damage: Switches that have been fried, short-circuited, or hooked up to loads exceeding the 20A rating.
-
Improper Installation: Damage caused by cross-wiring, over-tightening the backing nut, or stripping the stainless threads.
-
Modifications: Any switch where the factory heat-shrink seal or harness has been cut, modified, or compromised.
-
Abuse & Intentional Damage: Physical impact, crushing, or intentional destruction of the switch face, body, or harness.
-
Normal Wear & Tear: Minor cosmetic wear from regular use.
How the Return Process Works: To claim a warranty replacement, we require the defective switch to be shipped back to us for inspection. We actively monitor for warranty abuse to keep our pricing sharp for our real customers.
-
Email us at [Your Email Address] with your original order number and a brief description of the issue.
-
Ship the defective switch back to our facility. (Customer is responsible for the shipping cost to us).
-
Once we receive and inspect the switch to confirm the defect, we will immediately send out your brand-new replacement. (We cover the shipping cost back to you).
Bulk Orders & Systemic Failures: For wholesale, OEM, or bulk orders, any warranty claim involving multiple units or exceeding 5% of the total order volume will trigger a mandatory systemic review. In the event of a mass failure, the customer must provide a wiring diagram of the installation, including the loads, relays, and breakers used.
-
If our inspection determines that a mass failure was caused by an external event—such as an improper circuit design, missing relays, voltage spikes, lightning strikes, or a dead short in the vessel’s system—the entire warranty claim will be voided.
-
We reserve the right to dispatch an independent marine electrician to inspect the installation before approving any large-scale warranty claims.
